Jacob Levitan is a Researcher for Eastern Europe and the Balkans at the International Conflict Resolution Center. He is a 2018 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a major in International and Area Studies with a Eurasian Concentration and a minor in Russian Language and Literature. Jacob Levtian’s academic and professional focus has pertained to national security and Eurasia, especially regarding Russia. Jacob is interested in the relationship between Russian collective memory and its relationship to Russian foreign policy, especially in how it impacts Russia’s relations with the West. He has written an academic paper for Washington University in St. Louis on this subject following field research conducted in Russia. Jacob provides research at ICR Center, with special focus on Russia, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans.
